Third term

The term that we started this week is, the longest during the course but it will be the hurriest.
We have many activities during this term. An example of some of these activities start tomorrow morning. We are going to La Molina to watch the Paralimpics Games, then on Friday, we are going to Barcelona in the Cience museum and in a theatre.

During the month of May, two Austian students are coming to our ZER to do their practical sessions.

Moreover, at the end of May, we are going one week to Delta de L'Ebre!

And the course is over....

Immersion Programme in Álava

Last december the 6th level students from la ZER went to Álava in an immersion programme for a week. We went with the 6th level students from Bellver and we met there with two different schools from Moaña, Galícia.

The activities that the students took part in, were about fauna, flora, water, earth and human impact on earth.

Every day the students had two hours of classes with native teachers (from the USA and Sweeden), and several activities such as games, excursions and art activities in the afternoon.
Every night after having dinner, they had night games which were very funny and useful for their English.
In my opinion this is a good experience for improving their English, because with native teachers they have to make the effort to speak in English. I reccomend you to have this experience with your schools!!!!

A Danish boy in la ZER

From the 12th September to the 28th September we had a Danish boy in our ZER. His name was Asger and he is in an Erasmus in Barcelona.

He was going at English classes with the two teachers of English at the different schools.

The last week he decided to attend to the other classes apart from the English ones. He went to Physical education, special needs, music classes.

Halloween

Hi everyone!!
it's Halloween time and we are going to do different activities to work on it.
I've thought to invent a short theatre play with the 6th level students about Halloween and record them while representing it.
Moreover, some worksheets.

New course...

It's two days since we started the new course... and it's been nice!!
Since the first day of school until the 28th september, a Danish boy is going to be with us in the ZER. He is studying to be a teacher and now his in an Erasmus programme in Barcelona University. It's a very good opportunity for our students to speak in English.
Yesterday afternoon, I started teaching art... It was a little bit of a mess but today I've done it again in another town and I think I've done a good job!.
I will improve for sure!!!

New subject in the ZER for next course!! Art in English

Books for next course

Hi!! today in our teacher's meeting, we've decided with Gemma, the other Teacher of English in the ZER, to use from first to sixth level of primary the Heinemann collection: BUGS.
With the infantil students we will use the Artigal method. The same method that we have been using this course.
